Learning About Reptiles – Seashell Turtle Art

by admin

When we went camping at the beach a couple weeks ago I couldn’t help but bring some treasures home for an art project. The girls loved making these. I tried to have them pick shells that were relatively flat because they are putting these in their science journals. Those things are so fat 😆 It would be super fun to make turtles that are more curved to create an even more 3-D effect.

✨TIP: If you have a kiddo who gets easily frustrated with art, try printing out a template and tracing onto watercolor paper. This is super easy to do by taping it on a window or glass door.

After the girls traced their turtles, we painted them and let them dry. Then, they picked out their seashells and glued them onto their turtle shells.
