In the overwhelming seasons, if we pause to think In the overwhelming seasons, if we pause to think about more than just what is right in front of us and the current status of our circumstance, and we look at the big tapestry of our life, woven together by the joy and the sadness, the healed and the broken places, by the accomplishments and the progress, the forgiveness and grace, that step back allows us the gift of seeing what is truly important. At the very least, which is an extraordinary gift that none of us deserve, there is a Savior who came and gave His life so that we may live. The gift of salvation is something none of us deserve, yet He made a way for us.

I was reading this morning in Habakkuk 3:17-19:
“Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines, though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food, though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls,

YET I will rejoice in the LORD, I will be joyful in God my Savior. The Sovereign LORD is my strength; he makes my feet like the feet of a deer, he enables me to tread on the heights.”

Even when it’s hard, even when we can’t see where this path will lead, even in the doubt and pain, we can still lean on a big God who promises to be with us in the midst of it, giving us the strength and grace we need. Through worship, comes JOY.

Also, choosing to let things be left undone is ok in those seasons. I only sent out the first batch of Christmas cards, so if you didn’t get one, here is yours! 🫣😘

Merry Christmas, from the Sinners! 💛

🌲✨ Standing among giants at Sequoia National 🌲✨ Standing among giants at Sequoia National Park! 🌳Did you know the General Sherman Tree is the largest tree in the world by volume—over 275 feet tall and more than 2,000 years old? 🤯 We learned the top of the tree is actually dead so it won’t get taller, but it’s growing wider! Currently over 100ft circumference!

And the view from Moro Rock 🪨… absolutely breathtaking 😍. After climbing 350+ steps, you’re rewarded with sweeping views of the Sierra Nevada 🏔️🌄.

Forever in awe of God’s creation 🙌💚
Yesterday was day 1 of my kinder-2nd grade class! Yesterday was day 1 of my kinder-2nd grade class! We had so much fun talking about this great big world we live in! We also talked about where rain 🌧️ comes from and the water cycle. They enjoyed creating a rain cloud in a jar with shaving cream and colored water. They loved the big swing and eating tomatoes from garden. Looking forward to a great year! 🍎

I’m about out of paper because these girls were doing them all afternoon 😆 One nice thing about this is you can make the images as simple or complex as your child wants. Make sure to save this post so you can remember how to do it with your kids! 💛
